   Right on cue, the first day of Fall, and the Santa Ana's blow and the fires burn.  I would like to have less than two evacuation notices this year... that's a good goal.  All part of the life and death cycle in Southern California.  There are quite a few plants here whose seed pods will not open unless heated to temperatures that only a fire can provide.  This is so much like the spiritual life, the only way to the other side is to walk through the fire.
